Striking a balance..

Finding the balance in life is never easy, whether it be balancing a cheque book, balancing family and your career, or just plane standing on two legs!

Something is definitely off balance in my life lately, more so physically then any other way. As we know one leg is longer than the other, one foot is larger than the other, one boob is slightly larger than the other, one eye is stronger than the other, one hand is slight larger and stronger than the other, this is nothing new. However lately I think there is a force larger than myself at work here or I am just a jackass, we will see.

Lately for some reason, I have been extremely clumsy, more so than usual, my friends use to call me Kramer as I was always dropping things or doing some spastic thing, however this is on a larger scale. It started in June just after we got back from our vacation. I had a rough day at work and was glad my day was over, and I was walking towards the bus stop, calling Paul to let him know I was on my way home, then part way through the conversation, I have no idea how, I ended up on the ground, cell phone in pieces, part of it out in the street, my purse and sunglasses in complete opposite areas. Of course I got up and looked around and sure enough all the traffic was lined up at a red light and saw the whole thing, to top it off I heard a homeless guy on the otherside of the street laugh. I notice my skinned arms and leg and swollen ankle, I still get the occasional numbness in my foot, I think I might have chipped the bone. To add to the list, when Paul and I were out hiking the other day, I tripped in a root and if he wasn't standing where is was to catch me who knows what could have happened since there was quite a drop on the other side. Then today, lol I have to laugh at the thought of this one. I was walking home from the library, carrying my book and dvd's enjoying the summer evening, and next thing I know I tripped AGAIN, and landed scraping my whole right leg and palms of both hands, my book and dvd's went flying in all directions. At least this time no one was around.

I walk in the house and show Paul my DVD's and Book, and then he noticed the blood running down my leg, lol..he just looks up at me with shock and horror on his face. I am fine thank goodness I didn't hurt my ankle again which is what was running through my head as I was hitting the ground, it's amazing what goes though your mind in those Millie seconds before feeling the force of gravity. Once he sees I am okay, he just looks at me and says, "You know I think you need to go back to Yoga, I think your body is totally out of balance right now." This took me for a loop, as my husband is very much the analytical thinker and I am very much the spiritual thinker, hence we like to refer to ourselves as the Ying & Yang, we balance eachother. It was really refreshing to have this coming from him, and you know what I think he is right. At first I was thinking maybe I have an inner ear thing going on which I might very well have, but my body have been feeling un-balanced, with so much change, and moving from a fast pace to a slower pace, has made me more self-aware. Funny enough I was Googling something the other day and found a yoga studio not to far from my house. I think that will be my next excursion, I need to find peace and balance. In the meantime, I won't be wearing a dress to my interview tomorrow which will be at a hospital ironically enough. Ah, coincidence, only if you believe in such things!

When reading of your clumsiness two thoughts came to mind...

Are you pregnant? ;)

and

Could it be an inner ear thing?

Good luck with the interview!

No I am pretty sure I am not preggers, I think it might be an inner ear thing as well.

I went to the interview, I think it went well, it was originally for one job, then the HR person felt I should interview for two others as well. So in total it took 2.5 hours and I met with three different department heads, so I hope that is a good sign?!
