Break open the Bubblie its a NEW YEAR!!

Well there you have it the holidays are over, and so is another year! Once again we are left holding the bag and asking, "Where has the time gone?"

I could get into some of the New Year Resolutions I have set for myself, but really we all know the odds of them being broken before the first twenty-four hours of 2009 are over, are pretty high. Instead I have decided to document 2009 in pictures. Pictures speak volumes, sometimes better than words.

2008 was a big year, with lots of highs and lows, the following are the highlights that come to mind:

I made it home to Halifax finally, after being away for over 2 years.

My cousin Kate got engaged and married.

I got to spend some much needed time with my Nan.

Paul and I took our first real vacation, to New York City.

While there we had a Mini Scotland Reunion with some long lost friends.
From there we went to Connecticut to see our friends Shanks and Mike get married, before leaving for Singapore.
Paul started graduate school at the University of Illinois, in the fall. Which meant I got to drive the moving van from Chicago to Indiana, and back to Champaign.
Just in time for my Dad to come to visit! It was a good time! Followed by Momma Butler coming for my Canadian Thanksgiving in October. Followed by U.S. thanksgiving and Christmas. Yes, it has been a busy and exciting year. I am looking forward to what 2009 has in store.
January 1, 2009, Happy New Year to you and yours!
