In other news, Paul had a big birthday this week! Yes indeed, he turned the big 3-2 on Tuesday. Happy Birthday Boo! On the actual day it was pretty slick out so we decided to stay in, and make a casual dinner, but no birthday can go by without some cake, so I brought him a gourmet cupcake on my way home. He had a similar apiphany I had on my 32nd birthday in November, they just don't seem as exciting as they use to be. So last night I had a small birthday dinner party for Paul with all his favorite things; Fondue, german chocolate cake, and a tiki theme, with good friends. All in all he said he had a great birthday. My Mission: ACCOMPLISHED!

First Week of '09 down.
This was the first full week back at work since the holidays, and boy did it seem like a long one, but a pretty good one! Last weekend I was able to ride my bike all over town, this week, we got a little freeze on, and which made for a slip sliding adventure to and from work. At least I didn't get stuck in the drive way this time, just trying to walk to work.

(The most expensive wine I ever had, so I would like to think it made the fondue that much better, followed by the cheese)
Homemade from the box, cake, a little lopsided, gives it character.
The Due, with a little Tiki Twist...
The Birthday Boy! With his bonfire/cake.
