Bah Humbug!!!

Okay so I have been working hard at trying to make this Christmas a merry one. Cause honestly the holidays suck for me most of the time. Each year I try to make the best of the season, and be cheery and excited, and look forward to it, but there is always a part of me that just looks forward to it being over. As hard as I have been trying to have fun this year it seems like everyone else around me is just not feeling it and this is making want to throw down my Elf Oven Mitts and tinsel and say forget it it! Maybe next year will be better.
Since this was our first year in a place where we could decorate the outdoors, we got these solar powered LED snowflake lights for the front walk way. There were only two and they were really cute, they turn themselves on and off and change colour. I was pretty proud of my lights. Aside from that we decorated our pillars outside with red ribbon and put a wreath outside on our door. It was looking really good. Then the other night I was on my way out, it was dark and I noticed that one of my lights wasn't looking right. It had snowed earlier that day so I thought maybe it was just that. Turns out someone stole my snowflake off the light stand! Why?! Left the other one and the rest of the unit behind and just unscrewed the snowflake part. I was really disappointed that someone did that, but whatever. I took the other one down.

Yesterday we tried to bring a little christmas cheer to the office. We have been really short staffed at work and stressed out. My co-worker had done a nice job decorating our area, but we hadn't put the tree up yet. So I offered to do it, it was all individual branches. I like to take pride in my work so I was very careful shaping and assembling the tree just so. We were very meticulous about putting the ornaments on the tree a certain way and what not. It was looking great when I left work at 4:30pm.

When I got in this morning at 7:15am, it looked like someone had body slammed the tree and then dragged it around the reception area, then stood it back up but not before ripping half the lights off and removing the tree skirt from the stand and hanging it off the tree. I was livid! I was ready to strip the tree and say to hell with Christmas! I tried to put it back together, but was so mad. What is it with people this year! Why do they feel they have to touch and destroy other people's work?! Or be disrespectful of their things?!
Come to find out the housekeeping department that clean the office at night was in a hurry and somehow, managed to knock the tree over. Which I have yet to figure that one out,but anyway. They left a note saying they tried to put it back the way it was. Let me check but I am pretty sure, the tree skirt was under the tree not hanging off of the tree! I pretty much had to do the whole tree over again.

Did Scrooge and the Grinch move to town and someone forgot to send out the memo? This evening when I was walking home still a bit worked up about the whole day, I had to fight the urge to knock down other people's lawn ornaments. But the Zen part of me took over, lucky for Frosty!
